PEM Motion GmbH was founded as a spin-off of the Chair of Production Engineering for Electromobility Components (PEM) of Prof. Achim Kampker at RWTH Aachen University. The focus topics range from product development and design of alternative drive components such as battery cells and electric motors, to infrastructure and industrialization projects.
For decades, the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen university has been synonymous with successful and forward-looking research and innovation in the field of production engineering. More than fundamental theories and findings, it also applies findings in an industrial context and develops practical solutions for the purpose of rationalizing production.
INNOVENT e.V. is a non-profit industrial research institution whose core competencies include Surface Technology (OFT), Primer & Chemical Surface Treatment (PCO), Magnetic & Optical Systems (MOS), Biomaterials (BMA) and Analytics & Materials Testing (ANA). Results from the five departments are made available to companies as contract research in the form of products, technologies, patents and licenses.
